There are 15 single historical maps on the CD-ROM with more than thousand hyperlinks from the text parts.
Highlights of the maps part of the CD-ROM:
- smooth scrolling. Some of the maps are much larger than screen resolution. With speed and direction und direct cursor, maps may be moved automatically under the cursor into any new position.
- some map accesse are "geo-coded", i.e. many of the hyperlinks not only just call a map, but also move the map into a correct position (automatic scrolling) on the screen.
- historically correct writing of names. Especially in the maps depicting the Roman times, names are all written in latin.
